Samsung India has recently announced that there are going to launch 2017 flagship smartphone, the Galaxy S8 and Galaxy S8 Plus on April 19th. It has tweeted by the official Samsung India on Friday. The Samsung Galaxy S8 and S8 Plus are expected to go on sale starting from April 21st in India, that’s along with the global release date. Both the flagship smartphones were announced on March 29th at an ‘Unpacked’ event.

The Galaxy S8 and S8 Plus comes with a bezel-less curved edges display. It sports a 5.8-inch and 6.2-inch Quad-HD AMOLED Infinity display with Corning Gorilla Glass 5 protection, on both front and back side. The device runs on Samsung customised user interface based on Android 7.0 Nougat out of the box. It is expected that the smartphone in India will come powered by a Samsung’s Exynos processor. Though, the US variants of the Galaxy S8 and S8 Plus comes packed with the latest Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 processor.
The Galaxy S8 packs with a 4GB of RAM and 64GB internal storage which can be expandable up to 256GB via microSD card slot. The Samsung may bring 6GB RAM and 128GB inbuilt storage variant of Galaxy S8+ which was recently announced this month in South Korea. The Fingerprint scanner on both the flagship smartphone is located on the rear panel beside the camera in a rectangular shape.
The smartphone comes featured with a 12-megapixel rear camera with Dual Pixel technology and LED flash. On the front, it sports 8-megapixel camera with HDR, Smart autofocus and beauty filters. The Samsung Galaxy S8 comes backed by a 3,000 mAh battery and the Galaxy S8+ packs a slightly bigger 3,500 mAh battery. Samsung has added its own personal assistant called Bixby with a separate button for it located on the side edge of the smartphone.
Price and availability of Samsung Galaxy S8:
There’s no information regarding the price of the smartphone. We expect that the Flagship Galaxy smartphone price will be starting at Rs. 50,000. The smartphone is expected to be available for purchase on April 21st on words.
